Race 5- European Finals

That was it. our last race for this year. A weekend that went good. first of all. we had the whole weekend SUN. That was great after a year with to much rain.
The Pro Dutch Corvette qualified well at a 6th place from the 22.
made it to semi's finals, where we put a little to much power to the track.
We already started to try things for next year, because it looks you will need 6,1 to be at the top. Our 60ft was always slow, and it looks we are getting a grip on that. We learned a lot this year, and hope that we can show that in 2008.
I would like to thank the Team and the Sponsors for making this possible.
Also the fans that are supporting us, in bad and good times.
I will give you an update with the things we do in the winter.
take care. and; "We will be Back!"

Race 4- Mantorp Park

A weekend to forget.. We fixed the engine after Finland, but we did
chase our tail the whole weekend. Qualified 9th at the fastest pro mod field
ever in Europe. Only to find out at race day that we where bit in the ass.
Before first round we warmed the engine, and found a problem
we had to give up.

Race 3- Alastaro

The pro dutch corvette was one of the fastest on the track, 1st qualifier
in the first session, and more to come. Things looked good.
Disaster in quali #3, the car was on a real good pass, when a rod
broke, leaving a big hole in the block.
end of race.

Race 2- Main Event

PRO DUTCH BLASTS INTO THE 230’s
AND SETS THE NEW MARK AT 232.93 MPH !!!

Ok, this is our second time out and the first FIA race this year.
The weather was not looking great on our way in, but Saturday was nice and we got in two good qualification runs.  On our first run we tore a hole in one of our chutes and we get a BRIGHT PINK replacement from Andy.( Thanks Andy )

Our second run resulted in a new personal best and blew us past the 230mph mark.  Bowser ( crew Andy ) promptly stopped by our pit and asked for the pink chute back  (sorry Andy, we’ll keep it..  lol ).
That’s two races we’ve been to this year and twice that we’ve cranked out a new speed record.  The future looks very good.

Unfortunately, the rain on Sunday and Monday did not give us a chance to establish this as the FIA record.  Although we couldn’t get any racing done we did make good use of our time.  There are always a lot of things to do in the trailer and on the car.  One thing that was not working as well as we’d like was our method of changing valve springs.  It just seemed that every tool available just didn’t work as well as we thought it should.  So…just like any racer we decided to make some modifications.

We call this the J&J ( Jan & Jaap ) Enterprise modification and now we have a tool that works the way WE want it to.

OK, our weekend at the Main Event didn’t work out the way we planned, but as it stands right now Pro Dutch is the points leader in MSA Pro Mod after two events and 4th place in FIA Pro Mod after one event.  We feel good in our current position and are confident that we have what we need to compete at the top level this season.  The next event is Finland.  We’ve not been there before, but we’re ready to see what we can do with it.  More after our next great adventure.
Dennis - out.
